It was thought initial that a person who suffer with diabetes need to follow a specific diet, but as the education on diabetes increased and advancements in medicine it is concluded that the diabetic person can eat more or less same food as non diabetic persons except some crucial food items. Example carbohydrates. So people with diabetes need to follow specific guidelines instead of following specific diet to control diabetes and be healthy.

Taking fruits and vegetables that are dark in color such as red, yellow, orange, blue, purple and green. Researchers had concluded that the colorful fruits and vegetables contain essential nutrients , powerful antioxidants, minerals , fiber, vitamin which can promote good health and give us a sense of wellness.
Consider the following fruits and vegetables in your regular diet which will help you in control of diabetes.
Apples, Tomatoes, strawberries, guava, broccoli, cabbage, sweet potatoes, carrot, apricot, blue and blackberries, pineapples, oranges, pears, sprouts, beans, papaya and aborigines.
Diabetes is due to high blood glucose levels in the blood. This high glucose level is due to absence or low quantity of insulin in the body. Insulin a hormone secreted by pancreas. Pancreas is gland present behind the stomach.
Diabetes is mainly classified into two types namely type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is to young adults and teenagers mainly so it is called as juvenile diabetes or early onset diabetes. In type 1 diabetes there is halt in production of insulin which is due to autoimmune system of the body which destroys the pancreas beta cells. That is why this type is also called auto immune disease.
Type 2 diabetes is mainly to adults of age 40 and above. So it is called as adult onset diabetes. In type 2 diabetes the acceptors of the cells stop reacting to the insulin produced and due to this the pancreas create more and more insulin vigorously and develops a resistance to itself which is called as insulin resistance.
Gestational diabetes is other major type of diabetes. It is women during the second phase of pregnancy. The good point about gestational diabetes is that it may last till the delivery if proper care is taken by the mother, on the other hand it may lead to type 2 diabetes in ignored or untreated cases. Women with gestational diabetes are at risk of having large babies.
